mix over Preston's two decade long career in television production.

PSvideo’s location production equipment offers several different HD and SD options depending on the various needs of the project, including format, and desired acquisition media. With the multitude of digital recording formats available today, we can come up with a way to give you the great images you need in the format you desire, whether on tape, memory card or hard drive.

High Definition

Panasonic AJ-HDX900P. 3 chip ENG / EFP camera with 6.4X16 HD lens. Records available 1080 and 720 formats to DVCPRO HD tape. Camera set up by Roger Macie. File based recording also available (see below).

Sony HVR-Z7U. HDV tape format, compact size and pro features.

Panasonic AG-HVX200P. DVCPRO HD P2 record format / MiniDV tape.

File-based recording any of the HD or SD style is also available on P2 cards, or external drives recording P2 or Quicktime formats.

Standard Definition

Ikegami HL-DV7AW. 3 chip, DVcam format, 16x9 and 4x3.

Sony BVW-D600. Industry standard for many years. Digital camera head mated with proven Betacam analog recording.

Special Camera Needs

If you can think of a place to put a camera, we have probably tried to put one there. PSvideo also carries a wide variety of HD and SD mini and micro cameras as well as associated mounting hardware.

GoPro. Records HD formats to memory cards. New micro cam of choice, quickly mounted with suction cup mounts.

Canon HV20. Fist sized HDV camera, easily mounted in cars or other close quarters.

Sony PCR 1000. Very small MiniDV SD camera, easily placed just about anywhere.

Editing

Final Cut Pro system. Completely portable, runs on a Macbook Pro laptop, with external RAID drives and
AJA IO HD input / output box. An extra video monitor
and speakers are also included. This versatile system
can take in, convert if necessary, and output just about
any format, on location if desired.
